What Can You Expect When Working With A Registered Dietitian?
You can expect to work with an individual who cares about you and your well-being who will not provide a detailed meal-plan because those don’t work. Instead, you can expect to be enlightened to what is potentially hindering your progress and what is likely to positively influence your success. That guidance is based on scientific evidence and clinical experience of those leading you.
The R.D. that you work with with ask you for a full medical history in additional to social and recreational history. He/she will gather data around what has worked for you in the past as well as what has not. It will be important to go through all medications and supplements to ensure that a nutritional intervention does not negatively interact. Additionally, the R.D. will likely ask you about your sleep habits, bowel and bladded routine and daily stress.
