Stephanie Tieman

Founder of NuFit Collective, Stephanie Tieman is an Integrative Health Coach and Certified Personal Trainer. Stephanie holds Bachelor of Science degree in both Business Administration and Exercise Science from Thomas More College.

After nearly 2 decades in the fitness and wellness industry, Stephanie opened a group training gym in Northern Kentucky called CoreStrong. Recognizing a gap in the industry, she pursued Health and Nutrition Coaching at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, receiving her certification in 2016. Through her IIN training and personal experience, she founded CoreHealing to merge her love of fitness and nutrition.

NuFit Collective was born after recognizing a need to integrate health, nutrition, movement and healing of the body from the inside out. With a dream of making feeling good more accessible, NuFit Collective aims to give clients a strong foundation to feel their best and sustain it.

As a highly respected voice within the fitness and nutrition community, NuFit Collective embodies the trifecta of what makes a for a successful coach & program: passion, knowledge and the absence of judgement.

BACKGROUND

How did you get into your field?

I was an athlete my whole life. That’s all I knew and as I was approaching the end of my career, the fear of not knowing how to train as an non athlete was real.

“How do I stay healthy and how do I train when I am not an athlete?” That’s when I decided to study Exercise Science. Little did I know it would become not only my career, but my passion.

I didn’t start health coaching until much later in my career. In my early 30’s I found out that I had 2 autoimmune disorders: Hashimoto’s and Celiac Disease. That’s when I realized that I could heal myself through diet and I was eager to not only learn more, but also to be able to help as many people as I could to do the same.

What is your training background

I have been in the Fitness and Wellness Industry now for almost 20 years. I started back in 2000 as a student at Thomas More College (now Thomas More University)There I was able to work with some of the best trainers in the city. I worked with adults and athletes of all ages and backgrounds – I even got to see some of the great future NFL stars in action.

In 2004 I opened a small one on one training studio and in 2007 launched one of the first boot camps in the NKY called Boot Camp Challenge.

In 2014 I opened CoreStrong and in 2017 I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition with a certification as an Integrative Health and Nutrition Coach.

I realized that I wanted to focus exclusively on the integration of overall health, nutrition and healing of the body from the inside out, so I decided to close CoreStrong in 2020, allowing the space to concept my ideas into a brand.

Enter NUFIT. I have been able to integrate my years of industry experience and expertise with my dream of launching an online program, giving clients a strong foundation to feel their best and maintain success throughout their journey.

Who influenced your career path (who have you enjoyed learning from, mentor, etc.)?

Not to sound arrogant but honestly, it’s been me. I have been the perfect student to learn from. I have lived the life that many other people lead and it was frustrating that I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t reaching my goals.

I always worked out, I tried every diet and juice plan out there and I still wasn’t having the success I was looking for. But more importantly, I did not feel good. I was searching for answers and I wasn’t going to stop until I found them.

Now it is my job to teach people all the lessons I went through to help make their journey not only easier but safer and healthier.

What makes you love your field?

I love helping people find and be their best selves. Until you feel great, I know how hard it is to be your best.

INTERESTS/SPECIALITIES

What kind of clients do you love working with?

I can honestly say all people. It doesn’t matter whether you are a mom/dad, son/daughter, athlete, ex-athlete, a professional gym goer or someone that is just starting and doesn’t know where to begin. I want to work with anyone that is either looking to feel better or is frustrated that what they are doing is not working. I want to teach everyone how to set themselves up for success. We are all in charge of our own destiny but sometimes we just need a little guidance to be led down the correct path.

What sets you apart?

I genuinely care and want to help people. My program is not a one size fits all. We look at many components of our clients lives and come up with a strategy that works best for them. My programs focuses not only on fitness and nutrition, but I will also help work on your mindfulness and becoming present.

What’s your mission?

To teach people that not feeling good is unacceptable and to show them that being healthy can be a lifestyle that is fun – and something that you can maintain FOREVER.

HOBBIES

What brings you joy?

My dog Larry (best Goldendoodle ever) is my true love. He goes everywhere with me and loves my clients more than anyone. We love to get out and do trail runs together and when it is nice out we like to hit up every dog park we can find.

I also have a huge passion for cooking and also finding recipes I love and making them healthy. I spend a lot of my spare time researching recipes and shopping at all the best markets and grocery stores around town.

    What is NuFit’s Reset Phase 1 Challenge?
    It is a 3 to 6 week challenge that helps empower each individual to start listening to their bodies and figure out what works best for them. Stephanie calls this balance.
    For 6 weeks Stephanie will coach you on gut health, proper alignment, corrective and progressive exercises, nutrition, how to grocery shop, meal planning and so much more. Education is key to life and to this program.
    Stephanie genuinely cares and wants to help you feel the best you can, forever. Her program is not a one size fits all. She will look at many components of your life and create a strategy that works best for you.
    Her main objective is to help you not only make permanent lifestyle changes but also help you take control of your life – not allowing food and exercise having control of you. THIS TYPE OF FREEDOM is LIFE CHANGING.

    In our first session together we’ll allow a little extra time to discuss your health goals, your wellness vision and for you to share and feel heard.

    From there, we dive into your health and wellness goals and create actionable goals so you can achieve success, realize your full potential and thrive.
