Kristen Johnson

Kristen is an ACE-certified personal trainer, a pre/postpartum fitness coach through Moms Into Fitness, certified SportsMetrics Trainer, and a certified high school soccer coach. As a mom herself, she understands the physical and mental challenges of returning to fitness after pregnancy and helps other moms build sustainable routines that fit into their busy lives. With a background as a former college soccer player, she brings her passion for youth sports training into the gym, working with athletes from elementary age to D1 players to improve strength, endurance, and injury prevention. When she’s not coaching or training clients, she enjoys playing soccer, exploring Cincinnati parks, and spending time with her husband and son.

Background

I have always been involved in fitness and sports. I grew up and my Dad showed me how to weight lift and from there I have been doing it ever since. I credit a lot of my success in sports to weight lifting and did not have one serious injury throughout my soccer career youth/high school/college. It is something I am passionate about so it was the right step for me to get certified and begin helping others in their fitness journey.

I have been a certified personal trainer for the past 3 years. I am also a certified pre/postpartum trainer. I have trained a lot of soccer players specifically in soccer and speed agility/lifting as well. I also do online training for moms who don’t have time to go to the gym and need an at home workout and accountability.

I think mostly my dad, he has made fitness become a part of my life from an early age and still does now as a grandfather, showing how exercise can keep you fit, healthy, and ready to run around with your grandkids when you are older.

I love my field because I love to watch people grow to love fitness as I do and make it a lifestyle instead of something they do to lose weight.

INTERESTS/SPECIALITIES

I love working with clients who are willing to put in the work and be consistent. With the main clients being youth athletes and moms.

I see training a client as a whole life changing experience. I not only want you to workout and go through the motions, but learn how much you can push yourself farther than you thought you could and grow to use what you learn in working out to make your life better overall.

My mission is to foster growth in both the physical and emotional world to grow my clients to be the best person they can be for themselves and their families.

HOBBIES

I love soccer, so I coach soccer on the side. I also just love spending time with my family, going out to dinner, a food hall is our favorite spot to be right now!
