Shockwave Therapy

What is Shockwave Therapy?

Shockwave Therapy, or Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), is a non-invasive treatment that delivers shock waves to injured areas to promote healing at the cellular level.

Shockwave Therapy uses short, frequent, high-intensity bursts of mechanical energy (shock waves) to treat injured, scarred, painful, or inflamed soft tissue.

Benefits of Shockwave Therapy

  1. Pain Relief: Provides analgesic effects.
  2. Anti-Inflammatory: Reduces inflammation and cellular damage.
  3. Antibacterial: Effective in treating infections.
  4. Growth Factor Activation: Stimulates the production of growth factors.
  5. Angiogenesis: Improves blood circulation and tissue supply.
  6. Bone Healing: Promotes new bone tissue formation.
  7. Tissue Regeneration: Stimulates growth in skin, bones, muscles, and nerves.
  8. Stem Cell Activation: Enhances metabolism, proliferation, migration, and differentiation.
  9. Tissue Remodeling: Encourages tissue healing and regeneration.

SoftWave Therapy at WAVE

The recommended shockwave sessions are 6-8.

Shockwave treatments are an add on service ($115) to your physical therapy appointment — A minimum of a short physical therapy follow up ($94) is mandatory, (a long follow up ($188) might be requested by your physical therapist for your plan of care).
