Strength is important to have physically, but just as important to have mentally.

During the holidays, let’s work on an important factor of strength, which is REST. After all, work without rest does not lead to progress, it leads to burnout, and many adults, especially parents, experience the most stress and burnout around the holidays. So with that in mind, allow yourself to rest, enjoy your family and friends.

Don’t punish yourself for having something sweet. Don’t put pressure on yourself to constantly be watching calories. Now keep in mind that doesn’t mean you should eat the whole plate of cookies. You should still try to fit some exercise and movement into your week, but don’t beat yourself up if you miss a few days. Try to find a happy medium where you can find a little time to move your body, and enjoy some holiday treats in moderation.
