Mid-Year Reflection: Prioritizing Healing, Wellbeing, and Personal Growth in 2026

Hi friends!

It’s hard to believe that June is already here and that we’ve reached the midpoint of 2026. As summer unfolds, I hope you find opportunities to enjoy the season, slow down, and create space to reflect on the first half of the year. Reflection can help you recognize how far you’ve come while also inspiring you to imagine what the rest of the year may hold and how you want to continue investing in yourself.

The Power of a Mid-Year Reflection

The midpoint of the year invites a kind of honesty that New Year’s resolutions often do not. Rather than being fueled by pressure or expectations, mid-year reflection is grounded in lived experience. It encourages us to ask:

  • What has expanded you?
  • What has challenged you?
  • What deserves to be released?

These questions create an opportunity to evaluate where you are, honor your growth, and make intentional choices about where you want to go next.

Honoring Your Mind and Body

True personal growth honors the body as much as the mind. Our nervous systems carry stories and experiences that influence how we move through the world, respond to challenges, and connect with others.

With that awareness, I encourage you to move at the speed of safety. Take time to notice which people, places, and experiences allow your nervous system to rest and feel secure. Equally important, become aware of the situations that place your body into a state of stress or overwhelm.

As you move through the next six months, prioritize the relationships, environments, and practices that support your wellbeing. By doing so, you create space for healing and build a foundation for greater confidence, resilience, and whole-person health.

Simple Practices to Support Your Wellbeing

To cultivate greater self-awareness and internal wellbeing, consider the following:

Remember That You Have Choice

From the smallest decisions to the largest life changes, you have autonomy over your body and your experiences. Trust yourself to make choices that align with your values and needs.

Check In With Your Body Daily

Spend a few minutes each day doing a gentle body scan from head to toe. Notice physical sensations, areas of tension, and moments of ease.

Then check in emotionally. Ask yourself what you are feeling in the present moment and where that emotion shows up in your body.

Don’t Forget to Breathe

Intentional breathing can help regulate your nervous system, increase awareness, and create moments of calm throughout your day.

Looking Ahead to the Rest of 2026

You have already made it through 100% of your hardest days during the first half of 2026. That is worth acknowledging.

As we enter the second half of the year, my hope for you is that the months ahead are filled with joy, healing, strength, and meaningful growth. May you continue to care for yourself with compassion, listen to your body with curiosity, and move forward with confidence in every part of your wellbeing journey.
