Who’s On Your Wellness Team?

Who’s On Your Wellness Team?

When it comes to your health and well-being, you’re not just a passenger—you’re the captain.

That means you get to choose your crew: a team of professionals who not only bring expertise to the table, but who are also willing to collaborate, communicate, and support you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis.

At Anchor Wellness Center, we believe care is stronger when it’s connected. That’s why our providers—across physical therapy, mental health, nutrition, massage therapy, personal training, and more—work with each other, not just around each other. We share information (with your permission), align on goals, and lean on each other’s strengths to create a care plan that actually works.

No more repeating your story over and over. No more guessing if one provider’s plan contradicts another’s. No more piecing it all together on your own.

Because when your providers talk to each other, your care just… works better.

Who should be on your wellness team?

It depends on your goals—but here’s a starting point for a well-rounded care team:

  • A Primary Care Physician – Your medical home base. They can rule out serious conditions, help with lab work, and connect you to specialists when needed.

  • A Hormone or Endocrine Specialist – Particularly helpful during transitions like perimenopause, postpartum, or if you’re dealing with thyroid, adrenal, or insulin-related concerns.

  • A Mental Health Provider – Whether it’s therapy or coaching, support for your emotional and psychological well-being is foundational to sustainable health.

  • A Movement Specialist – This could be a physical therapist, Pilates instructor, or personal trainer—someone who helps you move better, not just more.

  • A Nutrition Expert – A registered dietitian or nutritionist who personalizes fueling strategies to your body, preferences, and needs.

  • A Recovery & Regulation Pro – Think massage therapy, acupuncture, or other modalities that calm the nervous system and promote healing.

  • A Dental Provider – Oral health has surprising links to systemic health (including inflammation, heart health, and more).

  • A Sleep or Stress Specialist – Poor sleep or chronic stress can derail even the best wellness plans. Support here changes the game.

  • You – The most important member. Your voice, your values, your preferences—that’s the compass.

And when we don’t have someone in-house?

We don’t just stop—we connect. Anchor is committed to building strong referral partnerships with trusted professionals outside our walls so that you’re never alone in finding the right support. Think of us as your care coordinator, not just your care provider.

A Team That Actually Talks

At AWC, collaboration isn’t just a tagline—it’s how we operate. Our providers meet regularly, refer across disciplines, and check in behind the scenes to make sure your care is progressing smoothly. We’re building a culture where independent providers choose to work together—because it’s better for you, and it’s better for us too.
